Yep, you read that right. The concept of infinitely recyclable materials is a game-changer in our fight against environmental pollution.
All of Open Water products are made of aluminum and are considered to be “infinitely recyclable,” but what exactly does that mean? Imagine a world where the aluminum bottle/can you toss in your recycling bin doesn't end up in a landfill or the ocean, but instead has a never-ending life cycle as part of a closed loop. Unlike traditional recycled materials which degrade over time and can only be recycled a few times before becoming unusable (i.e. waste)—infinitely recyclable aluminum retains its integrity indefinitely.
Because of how easy and efficient it is to recycle, recycled aluminum packaging can end up back as a finished good in just 60 days!
There are some awesome energy efficiencies that come from using infinitely recyclable aluminum. In fact, making new aluminum cans from used beverage cans (the industry shorthand is "UBCs") takes 95% less energy than starting from scratch.
So what this means that every time you toss that Open Water can or bottle into the recycling bin, you’re contributing to less waste in landfills and oceans, reduced pollution, and a brighter future for our planet...Talk about making a wave!
