Join Our Team

Open Water is a sustainable water brand built out of the mission to eliminate the need for plastic bottles and contribute to healthier, cleaner oceans.

We were pioneers in the canned water space, launching 10 years ago when there was faaaaar less chatter about plastic pollution than there is today. Now we know the scale of the issue and more and more people are eager for a change. Open Water is distributed across the U.S. where we’ve continued growing quickly—so quickly, in fact, that we need more smart, passionate people to join us.

Why Open Water?

Aluminum is better

Aluminum beverage packaging is recycled more often and more efficiently than its plastic, glass, and carton counterparts.

Aluminum vs Cartons

Cartons have more plastic than a grocery bag and are recycled less than plastic bottles.

CLIMATE NEUTRAL CERTIFIED

Open Water measures, reduces, and offsets its company-wide emissions year after year, creating a continually lower (and lower) emissions product.

Sustainable Sourcing

Definitely not from Fiji….or France, or the Austrian Alps. Because we can’t think of anything more wasteful than shipping water halfway around the globe. Open Water believes in a radically different model: sourcing as close to where it’s being served as possible.

Giving Back

A portion of every can purchased goes to funding ocean conservation and plastic pollution prevention through initiatives like our Sea Change Grants.
