Open Water offers standard ground shipping through FedEx and UPS for orders with Open Water products weighing less than 500 lbs. Your order may arrive in multiple boxes. Transit times are typically 2-5 business days.

Free Standard Ground Shipping by a Freight Truck:

Open Water offers free ground shipping with a freight delivery service for heavy orders. Typically, orders with products weighing a total of over 500 lbs (heavy products) will be shipped using a freight truck. Orders shipped through freight trucks will all be palletized.

Upon placing an order, the customer will receive a call from our shipping team to confirm shipping details before processing the order. The order will be shipped once the shipping details are confirmed. We require an appointment for the shipment. Transit times are typically 3-5 business days after shipping details are confirmed.

In the case where the customer is not available during the freight delivery, an attempt to contact the customer will be made by the freight carrier. If the customer is not obtainable the delivery will be returned to our warehouse and the customer will be responsible for all freight and holding fees of the carrier due to not being obtainable.

For all shipments with a freight truck, we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes and an alternate shipping address must be provided by the customer.

There are two options for delivery with a freight truck:

Commercial Delivery: All of our trucking carriers offer Dock to Dock Delivery to the customer’s location. The customer will need to have a loading dock to accept delivery along with means to unload the pallet off the truck (i.e. forklift or pallet jack). The customer is fully responsible for safely unloading the pallet off the truck, unloading cases off the pallet, and discarding the pallet.

Curbside Delivery: If a loading dock is unavailable, our trucking carriers can also offer a liftgate service to unload the pallet. Please notify us upon confirming shipping details that a liftgate will be needed. The trucking carrier will unload the pallet to the ground level at the rear of the delivery vehicle. The customer is responsible for transporting the product inside by forklift, pallet jack or other means. The customer is fully responsible for unloading cases off the pallet and discarding the pallet. 

Additional charges for Standard Ground Shipping for Freight Truck may apply in the following instances and must be confirmed prior to shipment:

Residential Delivery: Delivery to residential areas incurs additional fees. Our shipping team will disclose these fees upon confirming your shipping details.

Inside delivery: Delivery inside your building or residence also incurs additional fees. Our shipping team will disclose these fees upon confirming your shipping details. If you require inside delivery, please let our shipping team know when shipping details are confirmed.

We have received an update from our carriers that they are no longer able to offer inside delivery, due to the increased risk of contracting the virus placed on the drivers. We hope you understand, we are still able to offer residential/curbside and dock to dock delivery.
